Our Way of Thinking #6 is “Believes teaching and leadership have a great deal in common.”  The leaders we’ve admired the most over the years have been people who have the capacity to teach by asking provocative questions and by being invitational during conversations, rather than lecturing or “telling” to get their point across.  A Leader in Balance understands that putting oneself in the position of learner is important, even though that’s sometimes a vulnerable position.  However, the more we relate to others who are trying to learn and develop themselves, the easier it becomes to adapt our teaching and leadership approach to one that’s successful.
